Whether you just need a little help getting your day started or more ongoing assistance, we’ll help you with your everyday life. Our services are highly customizable to meet your specific needs and fit within your NDIS plan. Personal care supports relate to assistance with daily personal activities including assistance with, or supervision of, personal tasks of daily life.

Regular assistance with personal care will help you improve your strength, balance, and mobility. We aim to ensure you are happy and your needs are met. Our Lifestyle Attendants provide personal_care in a respectful and considerate manner to ensure you feel comfortable in your own home. 

Paradise & Paradise Care’s list of personal care supports includes: 

  1. personal hygiene, including showering, bathing, oral hygiene, dressing, and grooming
  2. eating and drinking 
  3. toileting, bladder and bowel management, and menstrual care 
  4. attending appointments 
  5. use of aids and appliances, hearing and communication devices
  6. mobility and transferring, for example moving in and out of bed and on or off the toilet 
  7. application of splints, basic first aid due to injuries sustained as a result of a participant’s disability 
  8. Personal care in schools supports help with personal care only, this service does not cover help with school work. 

Personal care can cover many tasks as everyone has different routines and unique needs. With all personal_care tasks, the duration in which you require help can vary too. Some people need help log term while others may only need assistance for a short period of time for example following an accident or injury. 
If you are an NDIS participant you may be eligible for funding to assist you in this important aspect of your life. ‘Assistance with Daily Life’ is a budget that falls under the ‘Core Supports’ category. The funding covers support with everyday personal activities that assist you to live as independently as possible and with dignity.
