To know if you are eligible for getting NDIS LTA support or not, you have to know what is long-term accommodation at first. Well, Long-Term Accommodation (LTA) is an NDIS plan under Supported Independent Living or SIL services. It allows a participant to live independently as possible in a modified accommodation. And the duration of staying depends on the needs of each individual.

However, the NDIS will fund the long term accommodation for up to 90 days. You may need to check the pricing plan for you and find a place that matches your budget. Please note that LTA only covers the accommodation cost. You still have to pay for your personal things like food, utility bills, and others as usual.

The supports that are included under the Long Term Accommodation in Australia are –

• Home modification – it can be the client’s own home, rental property or even social housing, depending on case to case.
